llms.txt is an open standard proposed by Jeremy Howard (Answer.AI) in September 2024. It is a single Markdown file served at the root of a website (https://yourdomain.com/llms.txt) that gives large language models a curated, machine-readable index of the site: who you are, what you do, and which pages matter. AI crawlers from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Perplexity, and others can use it to understand and cite a brand more accurately.
