Every agency answer to this question collapses into the same shape: "2 to 6 weeks for early signals, 3 to 6 months for real results." That range is wide enough to be unfalsifiable and vague enough to be useless when your CFO asks what happens in Q3.

The reason those answers are mushy is that they treat AEO as one process with one timeline. It is not. Three different mechanisms run at three different speeds, on four different engines that each source content differently. If you know which clock you are watching, you can predict what should happen in week 2, week 6, and month 4, and you can tell the difference between a program that is working slowly and a program that is not working at all.

The most useful thing in this table is the top row.
